At EyeMed, we’re on a mission to support young children in learning about their eyes, vision health, and choosing a career in optometry. To do this, we’re developing a series of interactive vision curriculum kits designed to immerse grade school children in the world of vision.
EyeMed and The Vision Council Foundation have teamed up to engage grade-school students in understanding how clear vision enhances their quality of life and well-being. So, we’ve worked together to co-brand and launch the next kit in our vision and eye health curriculum kit series.
The latest kit, Lens Technology: The Science of Refraction, introduces young students to how light bends in the eye to help us see clearly. Through fun, hands-on activities, kids learn how lenses focus light and sharpen vision. The kit includes an interactive activity book, refraction-in-action experiment cards and colorful illustrations, making the science of sight engaging and easy to understand.
Vision curriculum kits are available at no cost and can be accessed in two ways:
-
Select the download option to instantly save electronic versions of the materials to your desktop for printing at your convenience.
- Request to have pre-printed kits sent to you by completing an online order form. Each box includes 25 printed kits. Quantities are limited, so we do ask that requests for pre-printed kits are capped at 2 boxes (50 kits total) per order.
